The Bay's Charity Of The Year 2010 CancerCare

CancerCare is a local charity dedicated to the support of people with cancer, their families and their carers and those bereaved by cancer.

CancerCare’s services are available to anyone in North Lancashire and South Lakeland from centres at Slynedales in Lancaster and the Lakes Centre in Kendal and in the community in the Barrow area. Both centres offer emotional, social and psychological support, individually or in groups, together with advice, information, practical help and an extensive range of complementary therapies. All of CancerCare’s services are available to patients, carers and family members free of charge.

CancerCare can only do their work with your help, either as a fundraiser, a donor or as a volunteer.

CancerCare has been supporting local people at every stage of cancer since 1983. But to help them, they need your help.

CancerCare is the charity for local people – but they need £29,000 a week to survive and their only funding is from local people.

The Bay is extremely proud to support CancerCare as their official Charity of the Year for 2010.
